Scoot ("Scoot," "we," "us," and "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all its users, and does not collect information that is not essential to the app's core function which is to help busy parents. This Privacy Policy governs how we collect and use your information when you use our websites, mobile apps, and related services ("Services").

THE DATA WE COLLECT

Data you provide us:

Scoot does not knowingly collect information from any child under 13 years old. All users must be 18 years or older. If we learn that we have collected personal data about a child under age 13, we will delete that data as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any data from or about a child under the age of 13, please contact us. If you're under 13, please do not register for any of our Services or provide us with any personal information (such as your name, email address or phone number).

HOW DO WE USE YOUR DATA

We collect information from and about your use of the Services and the devices you use to access the Services.

Your email address is used to uniquely identify you to our app, to be able to store and use your settings for the operation of the Services on multiple of your devices, and to verify you as the intended recipient of invitations other users may send to you.

Your location information is used to present you with weather forecasts related to your area. By providing permission for the app to automatically access your location, you may also be served location-specific advertisements. Additionally, your general location may be derived from your IP address, and is used to improve the Services to you.

Your family member names, any photos that are uploaded, and event schedule information are used to provide you with the fundamental Services that are provided when you use the app.

WHO CAN SEE YOUR DATA

Your information is presented in the app and through push notifications to you, and any other users who you or another family member may have invited to your family. Other users must be invited to a family via an app-generated email initiated by someone who already has access to the family, and the invited user must verify their email address and supply a one-time passcode before access is allowed. If you need to see who else has access to your family, or to request someone have their access removed from your family, please contact us.

YOUR RIGHTS AND OPTIONS

You can opt-out of interest-based advertising on mobile applications by checking the privacy settings of your Android or iOS device and selecting "limit ad tracking" (Apple iOS) or "opt-out of interest based ads" (Android). We use Google AdMob to serve our ads, learn more about your options for controling the kinds of ads you are served: Google - Block certain ads.

"Do Not Track" Signals: Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret DNT signals, and not a common definition of "tracking", we do not currently respond to DNT signals in our Services.

If you request, we will provide you a copy of your personal data in an electronic format. You also have the right to correct your data, have your data deleted, object how we use or share your data, and restrict how we use or share your data.
